Life Stinks [1991] [DVD]
I saw this movie many years ago when I stayed in South Africa, and thoroughly enjoyed it at the time. Over the past 5yrs, since relocating to New Zealand, I searched for this movie everywhere, at all Video outlets and even Video Hiring places. There was absolutely no luck in it for me! Eventually, a friend suggested I buy it online, so when I started googling for the movie,I also came accross a write-up of Mel Brooks' movies. LIFE STINKS was rated as his worst movie and a flop! Unbelievable! I assure you, whoever did the write up, was either confused with another movie or had been stoned at the time! After purchasing LIFE STINKS, I still consider it as one of the best comedies ever, and it was money well spent, every penny of it! What a crack up! I consider it a better movie than BLAZZING SADDLES of Mel Brooks. We have now planned a movie night with a number of friends in two weeks time, and I assure you, I will be laughing out loud again! (just dont let them know that I could'nt wait, and had my own little preview! I had a real blast!) Enjoy it when you purchase your copy!

I have only recently found out about Mel Brooks and his movies, a bit late perhaps but so greatfully happy to know he is still alive! Too often I get into actors and directors to find out they have passed away like Brittany Murphy...
This film had me laugh for about 10 mins to the point of needing to go to the toilet - I just love the humour and the unpredictable way Mel Brooks does things. He is fabulous! The shoes did it for me, just so very funny!
Great film, I know it was criticised a bit when it came out but I love every parts of it, love the main lady's character in it and how again, she is such an unthinkable, unusual film character. Mel Brooks is such a great actor but he does the directing also so very well!
This is one of my favourites with "History of the world 2" which, having watched it one night my partner and I weren't on very good terms, saw us both laughing and making up - because of the film! I wish there were more Mel Brooks in the world... He is in my top league with my favourite French actor Louis de Funes who is also so very unusual with his acting and parts. Long live Mel Brooks!

Yes this movie in my opinion is funnier than blazing saddles. Mel Brookes,a very funny man. I agree, whoever said this film was he,s worst must have no sense of humour.

Mel brooks is absolutely hilarious in this film, if you want an entertaining movie, then this is the one.
