Imagine Coldplay type music from their 'A Rush Of Blood To The Head' era with Richard Ashcroft singing with 'The Good Will Out' type Embrace thrown in and you get a feel for what you will hear here with The Orange Lights. Thirteen Senses and Long-View comparisons would also fit the bill.
It will undoubtedly be termed 'depressing' music by most, but that is wide of the mark. These are perfectly formed indie anthems. Lead single 'Let The Love Back In' is in my opinion one of the best songs since 'The Scientist'.
You can get the idea of what to expect. Some of the songs do sound the same and follow the same pattern of... piano intro, drum kicks in with the singing, then a huge chorus. That is the reason for only giving the album 4 stars. However, if like me you like that style of music, you will not be dissapointed by 'Life Is Still Beautiful'.
