This album is a serious treat for fans of the series or those who just want to be reminded of the great sounds of the seventies. It starts and ends with some classic choice dialogue from Gene Hunt and is packed with some very familiar, and some less familiar, songs from the era of 8-tracks, three TV channels, Vesta dried curry meals and the Ford Granada (in bronze, of course).
If we don't miss the awful decor, social faux-pas, concrete jungles, see-through toilet paper, dodgy toothbrushes or synthetic fibres we most certainly miss the feel good, real good music and no-nonsense approach to life. With a generous selection of nearly two dozen tracks you can stick this on, sit back and remember a time before video recorders, personal computers, mobile phones or ASBO's. Bring back Gene Hunt and the Flying Squad, bring back real, proper life!
