i bought this album when it was originally released in 1974 but somehow managed to lose it in the intevening years. From the outset this band stood out from anything else that was around at the time, as far as mellow rock goes, and seemed destined to partially fill the massive gap that the Beatles had left in the music world after their break-up four years earlier. Uunfortunately, I lost track of their following recording activities but never forgot this paticular album which I consider one of the ten best records issued in the '70s.
IF YOU LIKE THE BEATLES OR BANDS LIKE AMERICA, BYRDS, LOVIN' SPOONFUL etc.THEN GIVE THIS A TRY.

BLUE ARE ANOTHER FAVOURITE BAND FROM THE SEVENTIES JUST LIKE ACE AND ARE A MUST FOR ANY ONE WHO LOVES TIGHT MELODIC BANDS TO RE-KINDLE MUSICAL MEMORIES FROM THE PAST.LIFE IN THE NAVY IS A GREAT ALBUM.
