Product Description

Product Description

From sex crazed fiends to cold eyed professional assassins, only those convicted of the most terrible murders are told they will die behind bars. This book tells the stories of those most depraved killers whose crimes outraged society and demanded the harshest penalty available to a British court. A graphic and harrowing read, this book is the first ever to bring together the case histories of every full-term lifer in Britain's jails. It offers never-before-published information about these extraordinary offenders. Police, lawyers and the relatives of the victims and killers all describe how the truth behind these awful crimes was pieced together and those responsible were brought to justice to face the harshest punishment.

For the fan of true-life crime a must read. Each lifer is given a chapter that allows room for an in-depth analysis and description of the crime/crimes but doesn't get bogged down in petty detail. This factual work has an unusual 'unputtable down' feeling about it with each chapter gripping enough to make you want to read just one more!Highly recommended.

Top true crime 20 April 2009
Format:Paperback
Fascinating, thoroughly researched, chilling and gripping. Describes some of the moset brutal scum in Britain and their horrific crimes. Check out the chapter on brain-eating Robert Maudsley - the UK's very own Hannibal Lector. Highly recommended.

I'm not normally a big fan of non-fiction, but this was a rollercoaster read from start to finish. Gripped me from the first page and I couldn't put it down.

The author asks the question, what horrific crimes do you have to commit to never be let out of jail? Ever?

So be prepared for some shocking facts, the author has seriously done his homework on this one. You'll read about things which were never disclosed to the public before, plus interviews with the people who hunted the killers and made them face justice. These interviews alone make the book worth reading, as you follow the investigators who pieced together the clues that led them on a journey into the minds of Britain's most horrific killers.

One warning though - you seriously won't want to read this at home alone...

All in all, fascinating read. Only complaint would be that your copy won't last long if you leave it lying round, my copy has already been swiped by my flatmate.

Anyone know if there is another one coming out?
