Book Description

1 April 2013 Life Lessons
PGA golf professional Clay Hamrick and best-selling author Don McNay have teamed up to write a book that ties the understanding of spiritual fulfillment to the mastery of the game of golf. The game of Golf has been the most frequently taught game in sport. It could be the most difficult sport to master. Throughout its history, there have been varying opinions and explanations pertaining to how the game should be played, taught and evaluated. Life Lessons from the Golf Course seeks to provide an explanation for this elusive and intoxicating game by examining the psychological and spiritual nature of our life experiences as it relates to the game itself. Golf, like our life, is a journey into the unknown that requires a great deal of faith and patience. We all seek the inner peace that is necessary to have a better life and understand our purpose. Through thoughtful observation, Life Lessons from the Golf Course offers some insight into the game that we all treasure through the examples of spiritual and psychological practices that will help us play and live better.

5.0 out of 5 stars Life Lessons 5 April 2013
By agrlong - Published on
I can honestly say I have never played golf but do know a little bit about it. I was drawn to this book because of the title "Life Lessons". From the moment I started reading, it was evident the author's emphasis was not golf at all but about attitude & living and golf just happened to be the sport of choice. His vivid detail allowed me to visually place my life and experiences in his writing. He is passionate about what he believes, which is evident by his faithful and honest comments. The author has utilized his strong moral fiber and Christian beliefs to guide him and he has a unique appreciation and perspective for life. His passion for family, spiritual, education and life's experiences obviously serve as a foundation for this book. He has developed and honed his God given abilities and shares them with the reader. I absolutely loved the book.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not great, ok 13 Jun 2013

Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
Author provides his insight into what/why some pro golfers succeed while others do not. It's a subjective analysis, isn't backed up by data, just author's opinion, which may be right.

I would like to thank my lord and saviour Jesus Christ for giving me the sense to stop reading this sanctimonious and unintelligent religious dribble. Not a golf book.
