This is a timely and comprehensive question and answer format book on the medical ethics of today. It is aimed at health workers and the interested person 'in the pew', but it can be read with profit by students of moral theology and ethics as an aide memoire. The language is accessible and the organisation logical and straightforward. As a theologian and an ethicist in the Catholic tradition I am also delighted to find the book totally faithful to the teaching of the Church without being unsympathetically dogmatic. Although this is an American publication the ethical situations it describes are universal.
