When I first listened to this album, I was not too sure what to think of it. It seemed too good to be true, sounding unusually typical for the band, bringing them back to their roots. This impression of mine was strongly reinforced by the fact that DC Cooper had returned to the band (he did return in 2011; this is the second album since then featuring him as a lead vocalist). The band did deviate from their original distinctive style after splitting up with him in the nineties. Now they are back - with new power and creative ideas.

The more I listened to the album, the more it got to me. First impression was that it was a good album, very melodic, with some very catchy tunes (in the tradition of their first successful album, 'Moving Target'), elaborate explosive intros and perfect melody. After hearing the album for a couple of more times I found it impossible to get it out of my head. Music is energetic, gives you rushes of adrenaline and leaves you wanting to hear more, as there are only seven tracks to it. They are very well written and perfectly performed: the band is as always at their highest possible professional level. Melodic metal is mixed with classical elements and orchestrations which have always been emblematic for Royal Hunt, really powerful and beautiful.

This CD will appeal not just to fans of progressive metal. It can reach to a wider audience who like melodic rock, but I don't think the band could be accused of commercialism of any sort. Some of the tunes could easily top the rock charts ('Running Out of Tears', 'One Minute Left to Live', 'Bullets Tale'). Even the likes of Bon Jovi would envy these songs.

not as good as the last cd but a really good one. dc cooper sing his heart out.
a lot of keybords for sure, but many of great guitar solos.
royal hunt 's mojo : melody, melody; melody.
andré 's compositions and dc 's voice still bring you in another dimension.
thanx for that

What the hell are they doing? The previous one was not good, but this one is so incredible BAD, it's almost hard to believe... It sounds like its influence is Russian pop music... I like the old stuff from Royal Hunt, but this one, I would never have bought it if I knew how bad it was! I am sorry, but this is my opinion...
