There are so many vampire films out there, and so many following the same tedious plots and themes, that the real pleasure for me in this one is that it did something different. Essentially, two women find themselves with superhuman abilities and a thirst for blood, but there's no loss of soul, they're not suddenly evil or mindless. Their subsequent development is determined by their original human personality.

The two main characters are lesbians, but for the impact this has on the film, they might as well have been just best friends. It's a shame the characters and themes weren't developed further.

The cast selection was strange and wonderful, although the acting was poor in places.

Don't start with expectations of sex and fountains of blood, just relax and enjoy a film about two very different friends who become vampires.

Nahh! 25 Feb 2011

This a poor poor example of the lesbian vampire movie genre. Recommend you find an alternative. I can only assume Sophie Monk's agent wrote the five star review. Her acting evokes a wooden mannequin with inflated rubber lips. The soundtrack was not scary and the attempted story line plot was distracting. There was no nudity, barely any gore, no werewolves, not enough hot action, no scary camera cuts, not enough darkenss, no sudden frights. Boring

Worst movie i have EVER seen, and im not kidding!! save your money, if you REALLY wanna spend it, go to the shop, buy some pins and put them in your eyes, because that would still be more fun that this rubbish! No plot, No acting, Nothing, and dont even get me started on God wearing a seethrough top and french kissing a vampire. Wow i cant believe i bought this, dont listen to the review where it says its good like i did.
