excellent read,

This review is from: The Life Audit: Take Control of Your Life Now Every Minute Counts (Paperback)
This book is different from many self-help books, in that it gives you concrete exercises to work through. For me, working through the exercises and finding out exactly where my time goes (as opposed to where I thought it went or where I would like it to go) really hit the mark. I'm used to recording my time at work (I'm a lawyer) but seeing what I spend my "free" time on, set out in black and white, was a real eye opener. I'm starting to make some changes and think through my priorities, so that I can spend my time doing what I want, instead of doing endless chores or "losing" hours here and there. Highly recommended as a way to focus your attention on what you want out of life.

Waste Of Money,

This review is from: The Life Audit (Paperback)
I bought this book to take with us on holiday. The author rambles on about how her life was left empty when her children left to go to college. She obviously has far too much time on her hands so that she can write a book on how to document every aspect of ones life. The back of the book has spreadsheets where readers can log when they went to the toilet and when they watched the TV. It is a complete waste of time and money and I feel cheated at paying £7.99 in the airport bookshop.
I also bought Paul McKenna's "Change Your Life" which was £1 cheaper and had a CD included. I read Paul's book and as a result left the Life Audit at the hotel and am now living my life to the full.

best ever self help book,

I am a bit of a self-help book addict and I honestly think that this is the most useful and effective one I have ever come across. It is all helpful common sense and totally free of jargon. Most of us can't drift off into some other life; we just feel overcome by all the things we have to do fitting in jobs, relationships, friends etc and want to find a way to make space for things that are not duties. This book really does help you do that. It's quite detailed but once you start it is fascinating AND IT WORKS! I have a really busy life but I've started yoga and I've started riding again and I feel much more in control and as though I'm living my life, not that it's living me.
