My quick thoughts after first weekend away in a Litchfield Apache 3 tent, bought from Argos for £32.99.
Pros:
* Cheap and reasonable value for money for this much tent.
* Lightweight
* Reasonable accommodation for 2 adults plus kit, but too small for 3 (though that's a criticism of tent sizing generally).
* Easy both to pitch and to pack away.
Cons:
* Inner first pitching method (not good in bad weather)
* Fly sheet can rest against inner (leading to moisture transfer) unless pitched VERY carefully (difficult on uneven/sloping ground)
* General quality and finishing was shoddy in places
Overall:
OK in the fair weather we had, but I suspect would be difficult to keep dry inside in the wet. Not sure how well it would resist strong winds either. I pitched 5 or 6 other fly-sheet first, "pack tents" (from Vango & Outwell) which felt more substantial which I suspect both keep drier and would survive more pitch/pack cycles. However these cost well over twice what I paid, so I guess you get what you pay for.
