Product Description

Umberto Eco contributes an essay on libraries.

About the Author

Candida Hofer studied with Bernd Becher at the Dussedorf Academy of Art. Candida Hofer: A Monograph was published by Thames & Hudson in 2003. Umberto Eco is a writer, philosopher and professor of semiotics at the University of Bologna. His novel The Name of the Rose was an international bestseller.

This book is a real page-turner, unbelievable considering it's entirely filled with pictures. If a travel agent creates a world tour based on these destinations I'll camp outside their office overnight to book my ticket :)

I love this book. The photographs are absolutely beautiful. I'd love to visit these libraries.
