Fantastic new album from the king of rai. Its back to basics, nearly all acoustic. Some old songs re-done but all superb, maybe the best album of his career.

This album is way out front in the race to become my Album of the Year in 2009 (not that there's a prize or anything) and, considering I've forked out for albums from Oumou Sangare, Tinariwen, Imam Baildi, Lhasa de Sela, and many others this year (based on recommendations from people who should know better) Khaled was up against some pretty stiff competition! (excuse the overuse of brackets dear reader, but I'm in a bracket kinda mood this week [or should that be parenthesis? :-D ])
Still, I'm amazed there are so few reviews on here. Come on all you Khaled appreciators, just because he's been around the clock (or should that be block?) a few times doesn't mean he still can't appreciate a good review when he sees one (I know he probably won't see it but I think you take my point!).
10/10 + 5 stars

I am a die hard Khaled fan. 'Liberte' was the long awaited album since Khaled's last offering, 'Ya Rayi', and I am pleased to report 'Liberte' didn't disappoint!
'Liberte' is a sound sensation, in true Khaled style, the album is musically diverse and it is guaranteed to get you moving!
An excellent buy and highly recommended to all, particularly to established Khaled fans!
