Innovative and Fresh,

For those who want a fresh and innovative look at the Gospels then this is the book for you. Rob lacey continues with the theme of his first book, The Word on the Street, and brings the bible to life as you've never seen or heard it before. Reading it in such a modern version, makes you really think about the bible and the effect it has on your life. From the word go it has an impact, for example when God says fantastic when he creates the world. The fact that whilst writing this book Rob was dying of cancer, and has now gone to be with the God he knew so well, brings another element to his writing. The fact that he has a deep relationship with God is evident in this book. Read this book and enjoy it, use it freely with friends, and read it to your children. It will have a bigger impact than you will ever imagine.

Word on the Street is not everyone's taste. Nor will The Liberator be! But for those of us who want to find new ways of connecting with people out there, who can't make sense of a standard translation of the Bible, this is a great introduction. The language is in the style of 'The Street'and you can't help but get excited and energised when you read it. Isn't that what it's all about????? Jesus wasn't a Pharisee, he was a radical. He upset the traditionalists and those obsessed with legalism. He wanted people to know the heart of God. This book aims to do a similar thing for a new generation.

Very cool, hip, street smart new interpretation of Bible events, themes and Jesus life by the very cool guy who brught us The word on the street/ The Street Bible. Very impressive and relevent new book. Cool stuff, and funny too.
