I'm a major fan of The Divine Comedy, having collected everything they've produced to date - with the exception of the best of compilation (A Secret History). This was the second album from Neil Hannon and friends and less well known than later outings, but for me is among Hannon's best work. Its not an instant listen, but the more you play, the more you get. Lightly orchestrated, and a little different (but certainly better than) the later, more commercialised offerings such as National Express etc. (what went wrong Neil?), but this is what the Divine Comedy do best. If you're tempted - dig this one out, its well worth a listen. And if you're out there Neil - more of this please!
