If you'd like to give quilting a go but are daunted by the images of perfectly created quilts which most publications depict, then this is the book for you, along with Gwen Marston's other books. Marston's approach gives you the confidence to experiment knowing that nothing is really a 'mistake' only another way of working. This book takes off where 'Liberated Quiltmaking' began with the use of colourful zesty fabrics. The techniques I learnt began here and whereas I can and do make the more traditional quilts, I'm happiest of all when I allow my fabrics to speak for themselves and quilts just seem to grow 'organically' in my hands. Can't recommend this book highly enough.
