Product Description

Synopsis

We're now within the golden age of bullshit and whether we like it or not, we're being constantly bombarded with lies, fakery and spin. This is especially true of the work place. By using test cases (and humour), this book will expose the techniques used by liars and show how damaging they are to business. Find out about the various degrees of deceit, how to spot a liar, and how lying is used at every level at work. If you think your company is fraud-free, then you'll be one of the 80 per cent of companies who believe that's the case. The only problem is that in a recent study, some 45 per cent of companies found cases of fraud within their own staff. There's a bullshitter sitting near you now...

4.0 out of 5 stars Liar's beware 6 Dec 2006
Format:Hardcover
This book is very well written and an enjoyable insight into the lies that go on in offices all around the globe. Using lot's of examples the author explores the different types of lies and 'degrees of deceit'. It's entertaining and I liked the premise that if there was no lying in the world it would be a poorer place and it's emphasis on the fact that the biggest problem is self deception. In other words powerful people believing their own lies.

5.0 out of 5 stars Self deception ! Great book 24 July 2011
Format:Hardcover
I love this book, ive read it many times.

I find it very amusing in as much that I can relate to many of the situations listed, its kind of like an episode of The Office but sadly real life where lives get ruined due to lies.
