Product Description

"This is Liam. Every day Liam eats lots of good food. Each time Liam eats, his tummy gets fuller and fuller...and fuller...until Liam's tummy starts to stretch".Successful toilet training is a time of celebration for both parents and child. It marks the end of dirty diapers and a forward step in the development of a child. Fraught with both stress and triumph, the period of toilet training can take from days to months. For a typical child, learning to gain control over the body's internal stimuli can be at best challenging. For many children, however, these internal cues can be overwhelming and confusing, leading to both a frustrating and traumatic toileting experience."Liam Goes Poo in the Toilet" illustrates the relationship between eating and excreting. It provides visual instructions on how to 'relax and push'. After much fanfare, Liam finally masters going 'poo' in the toilet, and both he and Mum bask in the glory of a job well done.

Purchased this book after a recommendation from a friend. Prior to buying this we had attempted toilet training for 8 months. We had mastered No.1's but No.2's was causing huge concerns for our little boy. Within a day of having this book he had mastered it and we haven't looked back since. I wouldn't hesitate recommending this book to anyone struggling with "poo" toilet training!

Did the trick for a bit! 27 April 2011
Format:Hardcover
My 5 year old son has really struggled with all things toilet related and I have been trying all sorts of books, stories and tricks to get him to go to the loo. I have been really pleased with this book. It is ideal for children aged 4 or 5 as the pics and text appear a bit more grown up than similar books aimed at Toddlers. My son really enjoyed the story and the pictures and to be fair it did encourage him to use the properly a good number of times. It has sort of disappeared on to the book shelf again but Im going to get it back out tomorrow to try and get him back on track. Well done to the author, in my opinion it certainly is the best book on the market for children of reception class age who are having a few difficulties with loo's. Good luck to anyone with a child having these problems, I hope it works for you!

My 3 1/2 year old quickly learnt to wee on the potty and had no issue with using toilets when no potty was available, however pooing is a whole different ball game! He fell on the book when I produced it, and we read it 4 times in a row. He then picked it up and read it to himself, but despite the fact he loves it, he is still having 4 or 5 poo accidents a day!He knows what he should do but can't yet read the signs for when to go-I guess no book can teach them that and it will just come with time. His 18 month old brother, however, may pick it up a lot quickeras he also loves this book-here's hoping!

Excellant, thought provoking tale told in a literary style not disimilar to Dickens, or Shakespeare. Poo certainly does hold a few tales, and this book explores them all. Read more
