2.0 out of 5 stars Led Zeppelin by numbers... 2 April 2012
Few tribute bands come close to the original bands they are trying to be, like classic movie remakes the effect isn't the same, they are not the same people.

Today's burgeoning tribute scene (good luck to the musicians if they can make a living these days from music, even making records) is good in a way for those who missed the great classic bands from years ago, they may even buy their remastered dogital cd's and want to know more about them, but there is a huge underground scene of new original singer-songwriters who are dismissed from today's sterile media led music scene that deserve to be heard, and if venues continue to fill their halls with copy bands (got to make the money, guv, it's what the punters want...) they may never see the light of day.

Lez Zeppelin present a technically competent and entertaining performance of LZ songs, and unlike many even include a couple of their own to their credit, Jimmy Page and Robert Plant were often accused of plagiarism with their Blues and Folk covers but they made them in their own unique style, many like myself knew little of Blues classics and great bands like LZ brought them to my attention at 15 years of age, the Stones did many too but kept them traditional.

Nothing wrong with this type of novelty album but don't take it too seriously...dig deeper and be amazed at what you find, a lot of Led Zeppelin fans are making music in their own unique style...
