WIRELESS PRINTING
Lexmark WiFi printers are simple to set up – simply follow the on screen instructions from the installation CD and you will be up and running in no time. Then you will be able to print from all the wireless PC’s or laptops in your home or office, meaning you only need one printer, with the added benefit that you can work from wherever suits you best. Plus, if you don’t fancy using wireless, you can still share the X9575 across a network, suing the Ethernet port connection.
Simply push the duplex button and your Lexmark will start using both sides of each sheet of paper to print on. Around half of the carbon footprint of a printer is the paper it uses. This is a simple and quick way to halve your paper usage and help protect the planet at the same time.
DIRECT PHOTO PRINTING
Simply place the memory card out of your camera in to the card slots on the printer or plug in directly through the PictBridge USB port and you are ready to start printing your photos directly through your printer. With a 2.4” colour LCD screen to preview your prints, you don’t even need to switch on your PC or laptop!
ADF
With the automatic document feeder, large copy or scan jobs are simple. Just place your pile of paper sheets on the feeder and hit scan or copy. The printer will automatically read one after the next with no need for you to keep adding sheets or touching the printer.

This printer is really good. It does everything really well and I especially like its double sided printing. It works well on windows 7 x64.
It's also energy efficient. It just sits on the network in a powered down state, but wakes up really quickly when it gets sent a job. Having it on the network means that no-one has to suffer computer slow down when someone prints out, and also you can scan documents to any computer on the network. The included OCR software is also much more accurate than any I have used before. Plus, the print cartridges last much longer than on my old Lexmark Printer.
Overall I can't fault it. Highly recommended.

I researched a great deal prior to purchasing and decided on this all-in-one for price and for the 5 yr warranty.
1) Setup: Unlike other reviewers, I found the printer rather easy to setup. I found that only the people who did NOT follow the instructions and tried to use their own methods of setup often had difficulties. Before you plug-in or connect the printer to your PC/Mac you're supposed to use the enclosed set-up CDs to walk you through. I would suggest not getting ahead of yourself and just doing as told. The printer was setup to my wifi and functioning within 40 minutes. After setting up the PC and printing a test page & test Copy, I installed my Mac with the enclosed Mac-specific CD and that was installed within 5 minutes. Easy Peezy.
2) Quality: Pictures are a bit grainy on photo paper, but good enough for 4x6 prints in small frames. Copy and fax quality were good. Scanned docs were esp detailed; the scanner even picked up traces of ink on the reverse side of my test doc- wow.
3) Functionality: This thing is easy to use. I would consider myself pretty technically literate; anyhow the buttons on the front of the printer guide you through functions, and the Lexmark software is not annoying either. I've had HP printer software before that suggested all kinds of garbage but this software is pretty straightforward. You can either scan from the printer to send to a chosen computer (and convert to PDF) and setup passwords for your different computers before scanning. Fax/copy functions are straightforward. You can also insert your memory cards etc directly into the printer for photo printing.
4) Issues: I noticed once that the printer didn't return to sleep mode after the fax line rang (no fax printed), so I turned it off auto-answer because I don't need a 24-hr fax. Also, I had a paper jam 1 time which the printer walked me through to dislodge properly.
All in all, I'm happy with the purchase and believe it's a good office all-in-one :)
September 2010: I've now had this printer for approx 5 months. And it has worked great on my Windows PC/Laptop but for Mac users, I had some problems with my Mac automatically updating printer software and then the printer not working (strange error msgs "color table missing"). I called Lexmark support (who have always been great, fast, responsive) and they had to update my printer drivers. To avoid this problem adjust your Mac settings and don't allow any auto Lexmark printer updates. ALSO, you can NOT scan from your Mac yet. Until Lexmark comes out with a Mac-printer update on this you can only scan from a Windows PC/laptop. Otherwise scan directly from the printer and send the job to your Mac. A bit annoying, but am waiting for Lexmark to catch up with Snow Leopard/Mac.
Am still happy with the printer overall.. connectivity is fine, no wireless or hardware issues. Color/print quality is still good..

easy set up and versativity, easy to use make this product very good value indeed I did set it up in ten minutes and am ejoying one of the most versatile machines on the market for the money. I did get one day delivery(xmas eve)well done amazon!
