When Lexmark sell you a new printer they supply a Lexmark 100 cartridges. Well these cartridges only hold 3mls colour & 5mls black ink in them which is written in really really small writing on the backs of the cartridge boxes. For higher yield cartridges what you really need is the Lexmark 100XL black which holds 18mls of ink and for the colour you should be using the Lexmark 100XL cartridges which holds 8mls of ink per colour cartridge. There is a company that I have also found (advantage online) which stock the Lexmark XL originals and a British premium compatible 100XL version which holds 20.8mls in the black and 9.8mls of ink in each of the colour cartridges and work just the same. Lexmark make there money out of selling you a very good printer (Impact S305) but then sell you cartridges that have hardly any ink in them (100 starter). Don't fall into the Lexmark ink con trap!!!

Product was received quickly, however after thinking I would be making a saving purchasing all three inks together upon opening the inks I received two yellow inks and 1 magenta no Cyan! I opened the inks without checking the colours first assuming all three colours would be included am now stuck with an extra yellow and no Cyan so be sure to check the inks before opening them!!

Looking at replacing colour cartridges then buying a three pack selection is good value compared to buying individually. Would also recommend the XL Black Ink cartridge compared to standard for value.
