DIRECT PHOTO PRINTING
Simply place the memory card out of your camera in to the card slots on the printer or plug in directly through the PictBridge USB port and you are ready to start printing your photos directly through your printer. There is no need to switch on your PC or laptop!
ADF
With the automatic document feeder, large copy or scan jobs are simple. Just place your pile of paper sheets on the feeder and hit scan or copy. The printer will automatically read one after the next with no need for you to keep adding sheets or touching the printer.
FAX
With a fully featured, business class fax machine built in, you can send and receive faxes all from your printer. Using the full numerical keypad on the control panel means it couldn't be simpler to set up or use.
SIMPLE INSTALLATION

A good printer for the money but be aware this printers cartridges have to be changed often.When the cartridge is low on ink a chip disables printing and you cannot refill the cartridge,only buy a new one and there are no compatables at the moment, so the cartridges tend to be expensive when compared with other compatable type cartridges used in other printers.(uses Lexmark cartridges number 36 and 37).

I bought this 4 in 1 printer a couple of weeks ago, for my home study. I have used the printer, copying and scanning facilities so far - I doubt I'll need the fax, but it's there just in case. So far, I have no complaints about it, everything working well. I'm not a heavy user of the printer/copier, so hopefully won't have a problem with the cartridge capacity - we'll see with time. I have used the scanner a number of times, no problem. The printer also enables you to scan to a memory stick or SD card, which is a useful addition. My other half installed it so that it's working via our Wireless Printer Server, which didn't take long for him to do - although I don't really know how that works, as I'm not techie at all! It's not too noisy when printing, and is fairly quick with text documents (which I set to print in black and white). I would say that I am not a heavy business user of it, and haven't yet tried to print photos, so don't know what it would be like for that sort of usage, but am happy so far with what it's done.

I have had many issues with this printer and Lexmark. The print quality is not great, however this is to be expected given the price. However, I have had numerous other issues to the point where I no longer would buy any Lexmark product again - and if you search online you find I am not alone in this position. For example, the scan mode simply does not work - search for "Lexmark cannot retrieve application list" and you will see this is a problem for many models and there is no solution, so to sell this as an all-in-one product is disingenuous. You must use Lexmark printer cartridges which are not refillable and run out quickly (even without use), making it an expensive option in the long run. Again, don't take my word for it, search online to find a list of fustrated owners. Lexmark technical support have been less than useless helping me through these issues, and often antagonistic. In the end I bought an HP. I hope this helps prospective users avoid making the same mistake.
