Laser Supplies

Once you've used a duplex printer you won't want to go back to something that only prints on one side. It saves time, it saves money on paper and you're doing your bit for the environment!
It connects using USB or Ethernet (your modem/router), it's quiet, very fast and produces an excellent quality print. (And there isn't an instruction sheet and black arrow that prints first!)
It was straightforward to set up on my network - once I had setup the IP address from the LCD panel (it also supports DHCP) and plugged it into my broadband modem/wireless router all I had to do was install the driver on the Windows 7 (64-bit) computer and it found the printer. I can now print from laptops as well - having installed the drivers the laptop connects to the wireless router and finds the printer. Duplexing works fine - the first side is printed and almost lands in the output tray before it is pulled back in and the other side printed. There is a USB connection too.
Overall I am very happy as it meets all my needs: good print quality, colour when needed (you can set to B&W and no dried out ink cartidges if not used for a while), networkable, duplex, good size paper tray, inexpensive, and lots of adjustable software settings e.g. colour correction. colour balance, print quality, etc.
So far so good...
Though it comes with a full set of "high capacity" toner cartridges, the estimated 2,500 capacity of the black cartridge is a fantasy. We reckon we got barely half that from our first 2 cartridges; web searches suggest other purchasers have had the same problem. This makes the running costs nearer 5-6p per sheet than the quoted 2.9p or thereabouts. The toner is expensive - if you use all the toner cartridges at an even rate it would be cheaper to buy a new printer than to replace the cartridges alone, though environmentally irresponsible.
The duplex works perfectly, but duplex sheets push previously printed pages off the back of the printer, which can be a bit inconvenient.
