Lexar Jumpdrive Triton Usb 3.0 Key - 64 Gb
I had high hopes for this product. I found what seemed like a good review online (not on Amazon) so ordered. Firstly, the item took several days to arrive as it was not dispatched by Amazon but by The Tech Store. When I started to use it all went well for two days. Then the problems started. The device started to not be recognised by my laptop (a high end Dell XPS iCore 7 unit). I tried it on several other computers with the same result. This resulted in my embarrassingly not being able to give several presentations at work which were saved on the device. In trying to get in touch with The Tech Store it became apparent that they do not divulge either their telephone number or their address - always a worrying sign in my decades of experience. The Tech Store did, however, respond promptly to my email sent via the Amazon site and asked me to return the item via a Freepost address. This was done today (29/09/12). I have asked for a full refund as I cannot trust the device with "mission critical" data. I await The Tech Store's response and have, in the meantime, ordered a Corsair 64GB Flash Voyager GT USB 3.0, which is, incidentally, around £30 cheaper. I may have been unlucky, but for what is supposed to be a US built (as opposed to China, Korea etc) high-end product, I do not feel I can trust it against such poor performance. My advice therefore is to steer clear. I will update this review once I hear from The Tech Store.
UPDATE: A week after sending the unit back to The Tech Store, no refund received and they claim not to have received it in spite of it being handed over the counter at a post office and proof of posting given. I have now filed a claim on the Amazon site and notified my credit card company. As said at the outset - DON'T BUY!!
