This Lexar Professional 600x 8GB UDMA card was purchased following a review by the 'PhotoPlus' magazine. It is very competitively priced and worked well in my Canon 50D. The increased operating speed was most noticeable when using High Speed continuous shooting, even when recording in maximum RAW plus JPEG, the buffering delay was much improved. Image quality is unchanged from previous cards used. I consider this a good investment.

After my initial single card purchase, i bought several of these cards (some from Amazon some from other sources) to replace slower or smaller cards. The speed increase when using these is nothing short of staggering! The cards have been used in a Nikon D2x, Nikon D2H & Fujifilm FinePix S3 Pro. The 2 Nikon bodies showed a dramatic decrease in the time taken to clear the internal memory buffers, implying a rapid write speed. The S3 Pro showed very little difference...., this is a very slow writing camera at the best of times!
I have not performed any tests other than the 'real world' tests of actually using the cards with the bodies mentioned, but i should add that downloading photos from the card to my computer was also very impressive! Transfer of pictures was carried out via either a Lexar 24-in-1 Card Reader or a Lexar Dual Slot CF/SD Card reader. Both where connected via USB2 to 2 different self-built desktop PCs.
In short...., i've tried many different brands & speeds of card including Sandisk Extreme IVs, Transcend 300x & Lexar 300x & 400x etc. So far, these have out-performed all & have been extremely reliable with no data loss.
