I have 34 King Crimson official releases, including dgmlive.com downloads, and would rank this as the finest live cd they have released on disc to date. All of the material is playing with an intensity and accuracy that is momentarily missing from some of the other live outings in my possession.
The killer track here for me is The Deception of the Thrush, a track that took a while to sink in, ages in fact. This track starts off with a minimal percussion part and Trey Gunn using a talker(voice box effect fed through the Warr guitar), building with Frippian soundscapes and eventually some serious improvised solos.
The sound quality of this disc ought to be a bench mark for live recording and the testing of hifi components.
The only downside is the length of the disc. It is however an excellent record of where King Crimson were at at the start of the new milleneum.
A must buy!
