This concert, dating from October 1983, was filmed at Zeche Bochum, a small club venue in Germany, for the Rockpalast TV series. Although by this time firmly established in the UK, it was still early days for the band in Europe and this TV exposure was very important in breaking them across the continent. The show features all their early hits and captures the original line-up of the band in fine form, blending pop singles and virtuoso jazz-funk instrumental workouts

A great document of early Level 42, before they hit big time. Goofy, fun and a little hammy (when was Mark King not?) it's great for those like myself who never caught the band live back then.
Sound quality a little dodgy (main audio is mono but what do you expect for 1983 tv?) but doesn't take away from anything. Nice bonus interview backstage after the show is included. A must for L42 collectors.
