Wow, how to tug at the heart strings of an ice maiden...read this book, it tugged on mine!
I don't normally read books like this but I am so glad I did, makes you grateful for what you have.
For a short story it takes you in and doesn't let you go until you have finished.
It is definitely one to read so buy it now.

4.0 out of 5 stars I found this tugged at the heartstrings 28 Aug. 2013

I couldn't put this down as it was like reading my story. My ex husband didn't leave me after such a short time, well not permanently anyway, but our stories were pretty similar. I'd never have written to my ex, though, for definite, even though the letters in this book didn't seem to be ones that were ever sent. If he didn't want to know he'd never get told by me. I don't think he'd have deserved it. I think the letters in this book might've been cathartic ones, though, written to get anger and heartbreak out rather than to inform someone about their child. Those type of letters do help the writer. The book is well written. There are a couple of grammatical errors that stood out a little bit for me, but the story wiped those out very quickly. It's powerful and sad and I enjoyed reading it.

A touching short story that will stay with you long after you have finished reading it. The author draws you in to the story from the very first page, you feel empathy for the character and her situation. A brilliant piece of work, looking forward to future publications.
