Book Description

7 May 2009

What do you do when the love of your life turns out to be a good-for-nothing love rat?

a) Pour your heart out to him in private letters that he'll never see. (Secretly you think it's a big fat waste of time but your therapist says it's the prefect way to express your inner rage and who are you to argue with science?)

b) Pretend it's not happening and carry on? (The pressure to act normally will almost kill you of course - but it would be much worse if anyone ever suspected that your life was less than perfect.)

c) Create a blog and tell the whole world about your problems? (You need advice and, if he won't listen to you, there are plenty of people out there who will. What harm can it do? Especially if you keep your identity top-secret.)

Three very different women have one thing in common - a good-for-nothing Casanova called Charlie. When he betrays them, they choose three very different ways to cope. But can they ever get over him? And will the love rat ever learn his lesson?

5.0 out of 5 stars definitely worth a read 30 Jan 2010
Format:Paperback
i recently read this book and was pleasantly surprised at how witty it actually was. the 3 lead characters are each very different but all have feelings for the lead man. what makes the book so good is that has a great structure: mollys view (the wife), eve's letters (the ex) and julie's blog (the affair). although i liked each female, i especially looked forward to julie's blogs. the ending could have been a little better and tied things up tighter but altogether it was an enjoyable read. suitable for light bed time reading or a summer read by the pool.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good but not as good as the "Housewife" books 20 Nov 2009

Format:Paperback
I enjoyed this book, but felt a tinge of disappointment that it didn't quite reach the comic levels of the housewife books, or may be I just miss Susie ? Hope she's back soon.

3.0 out of 5 stars Love Rat 23 Jun 2009
By Jabbat
Format:Paperback
This book is light entertainment at it's best, perfect for taking on holidays, no real thinking required. The plot is somewhat predictable, but saying that you still are inclined to want to read to the end to find out "what happpens next".
