A story of one couple's adventure sailing around the world. "Letters to the Boatyard" is a inspirational tale of a couple who sold up everything they owned and left the safety of Belfast Lough to sail around the world. The pages are filled with anecdotes of the adventure and the people they met. The style of writing is engaging and during my first read through there were moments when I laughed outloud, whilst at other times I found my eyes filling with tears as I shared the trials and tribulations of a remarkable journey.
A recommended read for land lubbers and children of Neptune alike. For the sailing fraternity this story will give sailors the urge to copy the journey. For those with their feet rooted on terra firma the book is entertaining without being technical and exclusive to those that know their fo'c'sle from their coxcombing.
