Product Description

Product Description
"Let's Talk About Sex" offered an accessible sex-education book for children about 11 - 14. This book by the same team aims to fulfil the same role for younger children . All the main areas are covered - babies, reproduction, bodies, chromosomes, genes, growing up, love, and health. The information is imparted simply and reassuringly with humourous commentary from an inquisitive bird and a squeamish bee together with friendly cartoon-strip illustrations.

5.0 out of 5 stars Clear, Concise and Not a bit Scary!, 13 Aug 2002
By A Customer
I would really recommend this book!! We have used it with our 9yr old and it is a well used book on his bookshelf. The writing is clear, the information is concise and accurate. Difficult issues such as abortion, masturbation, HIV & Aids are dealt with in a manner that would allow for family discussion and wouldn't conflict with any family beliefs & values. My 7yr old is now wanting me to read it to her. The illustrations are colourful and the cartoon characters are funny, cute and v.childlike. I don't feel the need to have another 'Facts of Life' book in our family as this one does the trick nicely!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent - Very Comprehensive, 27 Jul 2001
By A Customer
Having read this book we felt that it was a little old for our 6 year old, but the book is very well written and will definately be used when he is a little older. I was particularly impressed that topics such as Adoption, Homosexuality and to some extent AIDS were discussed. Highly recommended for answering those awkward questions!

5.0 out of 5 stars FUN, INFORMATIVE & ABOVE ALL, CHILD-FRIENDLY, 11 Mar 2000
By A Customer
I AM 9 YEARS OLD AND I'VE LEARNT TONS ABOUT THE FACTS OF LIFE - MY MUM HAS EXPLAINED IT TO ME VERY WELL, BUT I LIKE THE PICTURES AND THE JOKY WAY IT IS WRITTEN. IF EVERY CHILD HAD THIS BOOK THEY WOULDN'T GET CONFUSED BY WHAT THEY HEAR FROM THEIR FRIENDS.
