Product Description

Album Description

• The classic Funkadelic album - with plenty of Bootsy Collins - remastered from the original mastertapes for the first time in 15 years. This is the album that saw Bootsy invent his classic "Casper" vocal style on the mighty ‘Be My Beach’, an album that provided Funkadelic with their sixth Top 20 R&B album.

• This release includes the original 10-track album and the original version of album track ‘Baby I Owe You Something Good’ taken from the earlier US Music with Funkadelic 45.

• Includes in-depth notes from funk expert and series compiler Dean Rudland. These include a band history and details of the recording of this album.

• The booklet includes a full colour reproduction of Pedro Bell’s phenomenal artwork from the original album, as well as original adverts and rarely-seen band pictures.

Great remaster, but one cut-off track. 9 Aug 2005

Kind of a similar problem here as with the Standing on the Verge... remaster. The new sound is great - the instruments are much more well rounded, and the bass is improved all-around. Unfortunately, the first 10 seconds or so of "Atmosphere" are cut off, so the fanfare is lost. Please, Ace, fix the error on this and Verge - and let me trade in the version I bought.
The band was the music, and now it sounds even better 6 Jan 2006

When I look back at much I've spent on Funkadelic CDs and LPs, I have to say that this is most likely the best investment.
"Let's Take It To The Stage" album released that was supposedly remastered. Yeah. Right. I picked up this one, played it, and was amazed at the the clarity, sharpness, and God knows what else. As a consumer I want quality and I got it. Whoever took this album and the songs, cleaned them up thoroughly then put them back down again deserves a day off. I heard instruments that I did not hear before. To whomever, I say "Thanks"!
