This paper is incredibly thin and you will need some printer paper below the sheet your working on so you don't spoil the sheets underneath! It's not completely bleed proof, you need to allow about 1 mm next to each colour to avoid bleeding in to each other. Blending on the paper is pretty difficult.

I have found if you are using Promarkers the best paper to use is Reeves Cartridge Paper. It's cheaper, you need 50 sheets for a lot less money and it blends and dries like a dream.

This is a fairly reasonably-priced sketchbook for the quality of the paper, which gets absolutely lovely results with letraset markers. One side is absorbent so that colour seeps evenly through to the other side, which is great for making washes, translucent layers, or backgrounds. The other side allows colour to be applied to it, but it will not show through to the other side. The paper is high-quality and gives lovely even, smooth results.
A few downsides: the paper is pretty thin so you have to be careful with it so as not to get it all crumpley. This also makes it a bit fiddly to work with full sheets of paper if you don't have a board or artist's desk or some way of keeping the paper stretched and still (which you then have to unfix in order to ink the other side of the paper to get the colour to show through if that's what you're going for). Also it's not immediately visible which side is absorbent and which side is coated (I have to do a little ink test in a corner every time).

The paper is beautifully smooth and delivers on its promise to keep ink from excessive bleeding. Paper thickness is about half that which I usually like to use and the price extortionate. Worth a tryout, but a bit rich for a starving artist!

After 15 years as an illustrator I have tried just about every bleedproof pad available and have never found another pad more suitable for the task as than this one. It accepts more ink than any of it's competitors and for fine illustrations few can match it for precision in terms of the capabilities it has in keeping the ink where you place it with the absolute minimum of bleed occuring.

I will add in the interests of impartiality I exclusively use the Pantone Tria markers and there is no doubt this pad was designed for that marker, I have never heard complaints from colleagues who prefer different pens and use the same pads but my experience is limited in this regard.

The product is fantastic - it doesn't bleed in the slightest, perfect for any marker work. My only qwarel is the price, it is fairly expensive but you get what you pay for

Fantastic pad. Thick enough not to bleed through to pages underneath, yet still thin enough to use as a layout pad. I.e. Underlays and improving previous sketches. Works well with any kind of marker, and is a very good quality of paper, worth the money.

Brilliant for using with the Letraset pens as they can bleed and run quite easily on normal printer paper. Perfect for doing precise cartoon type drawing.
