5.0 out of 5 stars Another excellent album 1 Mar 2014
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
I almost never write product reviews but I have long felt that DBA are an extremely underrated band, I didn't know this album had been released already so I was rather excited to stumble across it on Amazon!

Incomparable was a great album and this one is excellent as well. The songs are melodious and catchy, however the stand out track is My Tomorrow. This is in my opinion DBA's best song so far and worth buying the album just for that. Beautiful Nightmare is a close second favourite of mine.

My only one criticism would be that sometimes the lyrics don't *quite* flow and sometimes they just don't quite make sense. Forgiveable as as they are not an English band but I do feel it would benefit them to have someone check the lyrics over for them.

I do love this band though and recommend the album very much. Looking forward to their next offering.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great album ! 19 April 2014
Format:MP3 Download
I hadn't realised there was a new album out, stumbled across it by accident

Really like this album, there's several tracks that are very good but the 1 standout track for me is "Replace You", it's very different to the rest, quite soft, but I can't stop playing it and my wife loves it too, well worth buying the album for that track alone but "Beautiful Nightmare" and "As A Butterfly" are also excellent !

Looking forward to the next album !!

2.0 out of 5 stars Soft male voice just doesn't work 22 April 2014
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
Thought I'd give this a go based on some Amazon recommendations and this would have been a good album if the lead singers voice had broken. Unfortunately it was the clean boy band sound of the singer that spoilt the whole album. If he had been a she the vocal dynamics would have been different and I suspect I would have given this a 5 star rating.

5.0 out of 5 stars Comparable to Incomparable 3 May 2014

I have to say, Let the World Know is in many ways comparable to Incomparable. It's funny to say but it's true, in all the good ways. I'm not a huge fan of their self-titled debut because of all the extra melodic vocals. On this album, and on Incomparable, they do a great job of mixing the heavy with the melodic, both musically and vocally. They also do well with mixing in the electronics. Without the electronics, it wouldn't be a Dead By April album but it'd still be solid. I think too many bands are starting to lean too hard on their electronics instead of using them as an addition and intensifier. Dead By April doesn't have that problem. Anyway, if you liked Incomparable, you will like this album and it doesn't just feel like an Incomparable 2. It has it's own flow and in many ways shows how they have learned to use their signature sound even better.
4.0 out of 5 stars Great Album, but lacking audio fidelity 16 April 2014

I have been waiting for a long while for a new DBA album to be released. Every track on this new album is great! The only thing I am not pleased with is that the album sounds like it was mastered with low bitrate mix tracks. The cymbal crashes are muddy and the guitars don't sound as clean. I thought maybe it was Amazon's mid-grade bitrate (256k), so I got the album from Google Music (320k) and they sound identical, so either they are using the same cruddy rip or the actual album is subpar in audio quality. All their previous albums sound great. I am not sure where things went wrong...part of me wants to buy the CD and rip it myself but I have already spent 20 bucks trying to get a decent quality recording.
5.0 out of 5 stars No Reviews? Well, Here's The First! 23 Mar 2014

At first listen, DEAD BY APRIL might be a band that is too "pop" for my taste. However, this band turns out to be a breath of fresh air from an already great genre, mixing well-executed boy-band vocals with metallic guitar riffs. Their third studio album LET THE WORLD KNOW finds the band with a new unclean vocalist (Christoffer Andersson) after Jimmie Strimmell left from the group. The album sounds a lot heavier than their previous albums, and even has a little bit of a MESHUGGAH influence to it, primarily in the screaming vocals, which are surprisingly just as good as Strimmel's. While this isn't as well-made of an album as their first, I would definitely recommend it.
