A strong, slow ballad to close the 2005 album 'Don't Believe the Truth' which was generally regarded as the album on which the newer line-up of Oasis really hit its stride and produced a genuine team effort. The swapping of voices between Noel & Liam Gallagher on the verse/chorus works well, and while Noel Gallagher's song-writing at times sounds derivative more than innovative, this track is an example of how refinement of an art-form can produce a strong body of work. The lyrics are suitably obtuse to carry the song and broaden its appeal, the production and instrumentation nicely polished. This is not a track to top the world charts in, but for fans of Oasis it will not disappoint. The film clip which accompanies it is mostly B&W footage from the concert tour that formed the film 'Lord Don't Slow Me Down'. Again, nothing terribly innnovative about it, but slickly presented and not disappointing to the armies of fans. Perhaps after all, when years of hard work and solid output has established a reputation, you can be allowed some respect & acknowledgment without having to re-earn it over and over.
