"Let the games begin" is the debut album by Italian hair metal/melodic hard rock band "Hell in the Club". Although a recently formed outfit, "Hell in the club" is put together by experienced musicians of the Italian metal scene. The line up features lead singer Davide Moras of folk metallers "Elvenking", bassist Andrea Buratto and drummer Federico Pennazzato, the rhythm section of power metal outfit "Secret Sphere" plus guitarist Andrea Piccardi.
As mentioned previously the musical style of "Hell in the club" has very little to do with the member's previous works in metal, as this new effort draws upon melodic hard rock and hair metal; so you can expect large choruses, melodic guitars, upfront rhythm section delivering occasional rock'n roll groove and the party atmosphere that comes with it. Attempting to further define the sound of "Hell in the club", one would claim that they actually come closer to the sound of Scandinavian sleaze/glam hard rock, referencing directly bands like "Hardcore superstar" and "Crazy Lixx".
One also has to assure that there is no average song on "Hell in the club", provided that melodic hard rock with glamorous/sleazy orientation is the sound you are looking for. And through twelve songs, "Let the games begin" is as complete an album as it gets especially considering the consistency of the songwriting and performance, this release is easily comparable to the work of the most acclaimed bands of the genre.
