This is a great and large collection of stories from the 40K universe and for once Games Workshop really gives you a lot of entertaiment for the money. The reader get a glimps, and you get the view from mankind and their enemies - both those within and without.
I can really recommend this book for all!.

This collection of short stories is part of Games Workshop's merchandising to promote their Warhammer 40k line of miniature table-top gaming.

Nevertheless, and surprisingly, when I picked this book off the shelf and thumbed through it, I found enough in it to persuade me to buy it, a decision I have not regretted.

For a promotion publication, (Games Workshop must have pushed the boat out on the budget here)the standard of authorship is surpringly high and writing immediately engaging; the pace never lets up. The locations are unique and well described, the cartoon characters engender no sympathy with the reader (an intended effect which works - there are no heroes, only anti-heroes) and the action is non-stop.

If you like space opera, you will find this a great blood and guts; all action read and best of all, you do not have to know anything about Warhammer 40k wargaming to enjoy it.
