Product Description

Zuri Day cranks up the heat with an explosively sexy tale about a woman who's about to get a crash course in lust. . .

First grade teacher Gwen Smith was happily married--until her husband got himself a twenty-something mistress and filed for divorce. Now just months away from turning forty-one, Gwen is back in her tiny California hometown, caring for her ailing mother, convinced her life is over. Then she meets Ransom Blake.

Ransom is a twenty-six-year-old hunk who pushes every one of Gwen's buttons. Gwen has no intention of getting involved with a younger man, but he won't take no for an answer. So when he shows up at her classroom unannounced, Gwen can't help but tell him off--and then she realizes he's come for his daughter. But Ransom isn't shy about letting Gwen know how she can make it up to him. And if he gets his way, Gwen will lose all her inhibitions--and her heart...

"An exciting read. Zuri Day does a fantastic job. . ."--Urban Reviews on Lies Lovers Tell

5.0 out of 5 stars Younger Man old soul 10 Mar 2010
By D. Lee - Published on
Format:Mass Market Paperback
I truly liked this story. Gwen is a 40 yrs old woman whose husband recently divorced her to be with a younger woman. Gwen moves back home to help her mother is suffering from dementia. In the process of settling in, she literally runs into Ransom.
Ransom is a 26 yrs old single father, who also happens to be the younger half brother of old classmate Adam Johnson (who also happens be the principal at the school she teaches at). It's instant attraction, between Gwen and Ransom, but Gwen wants no parts of a relationship with anyone.
Adam has an unhealthy rivalry with is younger brother and is determined to have his way with Gwen. When she continue to turn him down, he decides to go to drastic measures to make her submissive to his demands.
At time it seems the whole town is against Ransom and Gwen's relationship and they have to battle predictable adversaries at every turn. Through it all Ransom proves you can't judge a man by his age but by his maturity.
I really enjoyed this book and would love to read Chantay's story.

3.0 out of 5 stars Hot & Sexy! 2 Mar 2010
By Denise Bolds - Published on
Format:Mass Market Paperback
Ms. Day delivers a nice story on an old topic - the older woman dating the younger man... Gwen is a successful professional who is dumped by her ex-husband - time to go back home and regroup! Back at home - Gwen helps her ailing mother while starting over - encountering those who cannot let go of the past and something new - Ransome Blake a ohhh so sexy single dad who has it together.

The villans in this story - including Ransome's older brother remind us that some people never grow up! Ms. Day brings spice, humor and real issues making this story a great read. Oh yeah - its hot and sexy too!

4.0 out of 5 stars Sensual Lessons 5 May 2010

Format:Mass Market Paperback
First grade teacher Gwen Smith has just been dealt a blow she didn't see coming. Her husband of ten years has just announced he's leaving her for his mistress and wants a divorce. When her shock clears, she's faced with another life altering decision and returns to her small California hometown to care for her ailing mother. Her life is getting back on track and Gwen is relieved until she literally bumps into a handsome and sexy stranger who will teach her sensual lessons she never knew existed.

Ransom Blake is young, handsome and wise beyond his years. He's a successful business owner of a construction company and a devoted father to his beloved daughter. He's content with his life but wishes for a special lady to share it with. When he bumps into an alluring and attractive stranger he wants nothing more than to make his wish a reality and give her a lesson she will not forget.

A passionate tale of love, LESSONS FROM A YOUNGER LOVER, kept me turning page after page to see what would happen next. Day told Gwen and Ransom's love story with sexiness and sensuality.

5.0 out of 5 stars Intelligent, Romantic, & Sexy...LOVED IT 3 July 2010

This was one of the best romance novels that I have read. Zuri Day knows how to write a story. The book flowed from beginning to end. I could barely put it down. It was warm, romantic, and sexy. All the characters were great(the good - Ransom & Gwen and the bad - Adam, Carol, Joanna, & Brea). Ransom & Gwen's relationship development was great. I cannot say enough about this book. I will be reading it again and the other books from Zuri Day.

4.0 out of 5 stars What a Man, What a Man 2 Sep 2010
By Amazon Customer - Published on
Format:Mass Market Paperback|Verified Purchase
Gwen is moving back home at forty. Her husband has found a younger woman and Gwen's mother is showing signs of dementia, so she moves from her job as a teacher in Chicago back to a small hamlet in Northern California. What Gwen finds there is her best friend, an old crush, and the finest man she's ever laid eyes on. Ransom Blake is a long-haired, caramel skinned warrior of a man who is instantly intrigued by Gwen but she's afraid of her attraction for him. Pretty soon she finds that she can't resist Ransom but there are some people who don't like their budding relationship. This is a classic May/December romance but Ms. Day slips some surprises in that throw everything for a serious loop.

I purchased this title in March 2010 when it first released and loved it; I downloaded it to my Kindle app for Android. This book is definitely worth reading a second time.
