An excellent book!, 16 April 2009

I found this book very informative. And as strange as it sounds, it was funny. The author not only has a strong faith life but she has a good sense of humor which helped get her through this.

A seriocomic look at cancer, 8 April 2009
By T. Bosse "A Realistic View" - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Lessons from A Bald Chick (Hardcover)
A candid look into the heart of a woman living the life of a loving and happy wife and mother when her life is suddenly turned upside down by a diagnosis we all dread to hear - cancer.
Mary Beth Hall has a way of allowing her unique personality to filter through the pages. I found myself mentally standing in Mary Beth's shoes, sometimes laughing, sometimes crying, and sometimes both at the same time as she emotionally describes her ordeal with breast cancer.
Her trust in God and love for her family places an overwhelming impact on her desire to overcome this dreaded affliction. You will find yourself being drawn vicariously into her scenario - not wanting to put the book down until you find out what happens next.
I highly recommend this book as a companion helping hand guide through a difficult and emotional time in dealing with cancer.
