This DVD is good for whether you want to use it as backup to your regular exercise, (eg. if you regularly walk outside you can use it for rainy days), or if you want to use it exclusively for working out indoors. Leslie Sansone is so enthusiastic and she constantly reminds you that you needn't do the routine her way; just follow the pace but use the style that suits you. The DVD is suited for intermediates as she jumps right in with the walk and it gets fast, (with the 10 minute mile). It's perhaps too restrictive for the advanced, (you might not find it challenging enough), and maybe it's too much for absolute beginners, the old, the infirm or the very unfit.
Some exercise DVD's work on bits of you at a time and stop just as you are getting into a programme to concentrate on another movement. I prefer ones that transition you into new routines. Leslie Sansone eases you into each mile, (you don't have to do all the miles), which gives it another notch. Definately worth five stars.

I really like the Walk Aerobics series of DVD's. I started off years ago with the Walk Aerobics Miracle Mile video. This is great for beginners. It's only 15 minutes long and it's a great way to start off. The exercises are very simple, but they keep your heart rate where it needs to be, without all the silly dance steps or arsey aerobics you get in other exercise dvd's. The two mile dvd is equally as good. That lasts for 30 mins. The 1 & 2 mile dvd have a bar across the screen that tells you the time, how much you have progressed etc. The 3 mile dvd lasts for 45 mins & the 4 mile lasts for 1 hour. It's good because you can just do the first mile if you want and cool down. There are lot's of options on all the dvd's. There are also actual overweight people doing the workouts, which is nice to see. The only negative thing I would say about the 3 & 4 mile workout dvd's is that the music is rather annoying, you suddenly feel you're at a rave and Lesley chats constantly to the other participants, and even lets her sister take the lead for a mile or so in both these dvd's. I much prefer the 1 & 2 miles, but I am at the stage now where I want a longer workout.
