I have never laughed so hard in a film... ever.
I had seen Make A Wish (the title it was released under previously) just in snippets through googling it online, but have already noticed the difference. I make this comment in reference to the man who wrote the poor review of the film, for though what he says seems like a common misconseption, it is in fact misleading and wrong.
It's totally remastered and renewed, the images are clearer and dialogue and sound better, which is good because in general I find it tough to watch older films with small budgets due to their lack of quality. Lesbian Psycho embraces whatever shortcomings it may have though, unlike so many others, and uses them to its advantage.
When watching the film, I could understand the MISTAKE of assuming it is in fact just a bad attempt at a horror film. This film is a comedy, period. Horror? No, but a spoof of a horror film. Hello, the title is Lesbian Psycho, I doubt the filmmaker is going for anything other than a tongue in cheek look at a girls' weekend that goes horribly horribly wrong.
This film is hilarious, and I seriously quote this film all the time. It's just an enjoyable camp film with ridiculous deaths and even more ridiculous dialogue (if you would think it possible). I went into this film expecting to roll my eyes and stop it halfway, but instead have watched it a few times after and recommended it to my friends.
It's just a funny film, an enjoyable pastiche in a pretty untapped market in my opinion. Also, watch out for such gems as:
"Oh my God, is that hamburger meat?!" and "Steve, I love you. I love you, and I'm straight!"
5 stars, easily.
