Product Description

In the true tradition of slasher films like Friday the 13th and Halloween, Lesbian Psycho combines fever-pitch sexual tension and crossbow-wielding lesbian hijinks to winning effect. For her birthday, Susan takes a bevy of ex-girlfriends out for a camping trip with a difference. As the women bed down for the night, Sapphic frissons reverberate through the tents, while news breaks that there is a serial killer on the loose! One by one, the lesbians are picked off by an unseen assailant. But is the true identity of the killer such a mystery after all?

I'm not a big fan of the genre, but found it to be an ok example with a non-obvious killer and ok special effects for the budget. The acting is very wooden in places, and "Dawn" truly annoyed me but check it out if you like (spoofs on) almost all female slasher films.

5.0 out of 5 stars Laugh Out Loud Good Time 28 Mar 2011
By A.S.
Format:DVD
I have never laughed so hard in a film... ever.

I had seen Make A Wish (the title it was released under previously) just in snippets through googling it online, but have already noticed the difference. I make this comment in reference to the man who wrote the poor review of the film, for though what he says seems like a common misconseption, it is in fact misleading and wrong.

It's totally remastered and renewed, the images are clearer and dialogue and sound better, which is good because in general I find it tough to watch older films with small budgets due to their lack of quality. Lesbian Psycho embraces whatever shortcomings it may have though, unlike so many others, and uses them to its advantage.

When watching the film, I could understand the MISTAKE of assuming it is in fact just a bad attempt at a horror film. This film is a comedy, period. Horror? No, but a spoof of a horror film. Hello, the title is Lesbian Psycho, I doubt the filmmaker is going for anything other than a tongue in cheek look at a girls' weekend that goes horribly horribly wrong.

This film is hilarious, and I seriously quote this film all the time. It's just an enjoyable camp film with ridiculous deaths and even more ridiculous dialogue (if you would think it possible). I went into this film expecting to roll my eyes and stop it halfway, but instead have watched it a few times after and recommended it to my friends.

It's just a funny film, an enjoyable pastiche in a pretty untapped market in my opinion. Also, watch out for such gems as:
"Oh my God, is that hamburger meat?!" and "Steve, I love you. I love you, and I'm straight!"

5 stars, easily.

1.0 out of 5 stars Awful, awful , awful 27 Oct 2011
Format:DVD|Verified Purchase
Lesbian films tend to have a bad reputation, and that's because of films like this!!!! It wasn't even amusingly bad, it was just bad bad bad! Not even any decent eye candy!! Oh dear. Don't waste your money! I think I could probably of made better, in fact maybe I will. I didn't even finish it, apologies if it has a brilliant ending!! Awful, have I mentioned bad and awful?! I will literally sit through anything normally! Bar Girls anyone?!! Thank you and goodnight!
