This is a reproduction of the 1942 Edition of the album, faithful to the original all the way to the back cover. This 1942 edition is 124 pages in black and white. It was the third edition of the book, following the first edition of 1934 and the second of 1938. The 1942 edition is identical to the first two with with two exceptions:
1) This third edition has 4 fully coloured pages inserted throughout the book, drawn by Herge and were included in the second edition but not the first one.
2) It has a different full page front cover plate. This charming plate was not used on any earlier or later edition of the book, which is one of the reasons why the original 1942 album a highly sought after collectors' item.
The book is in French by the way.

My first ever Tintin comic. I never liked comics but this was thoroughly enjoyable. Really handy as well if you're trying to learn some idiomatic French. A great purchase.
