This books seems to review most of the films ever released, with all the details you need. It's been going for many years, and gets bigger each year - so the print size is rather small - beware. You probably won't agree with all the ratings, but it's generally a reliable guide.

This book certainly holds 1000's of films.Great for when you just can't remember who was in a certain film.Just a couple of negative points: writing is very tiny,i suppose because book is small,i would have made book bigger so customers don't have to squint to read it.Also didn't agree with some of Leonard's reviews, then i don't suppose everyone would agree with mine. All in all good price would recommend.

Being a film buff I have used these books for a long to record the number and titles of films my wife and I have watched, in order to save a second viewing, unless compulsory by nature of the film. The "Classic Movie Guide" is not only smaller & more expensive but duplicates many titles up to 1965 from the "Movie Guide". For some unknown reason "East of Sudan" "Invasion" and "The Great Sioux Massacre" plus a handfull of TV films have disappeared from the Movie Guide. An example of TV films now not appearing is "Duel", "The Day After" and probably many more that I am unable to account for.
Another annoyance is the price of the smaller "Classic Movie Guide" filled to its size with duplications as previously stated. Lets simply have two volumes, one up to 1965 and the other to the present day. I also have kept a record of films not in either book, which now amounts to approx. 250. Many are English, some are TV films, but in my opinion most should be included in the books. List available Mr Malton.
Regards David Welfare.
