This is a multi episode dvd of a programme first shown on TV. Ray Winstone plays the put upon Lenny of the title, all grizzled cop, hated by his colleagues, etc. Considered over the hill by his peers, he sets out to prove them wrong. As the other reviewer states, there is not a lot of action but it is probably better for that. Ray Wnstone is an actor who can plod through a part, as here, or raise his game when needed (Nil by Mouth?). If you are a fan, then this long series will be entertaining, and excellent value at a very low price. If you don't like Ray, you won't like this. However,if you are a fan of series like 'Rebus' or 'Prime Suspect' you may like to give it a try. I am aware it is not another 'Long Good Friday' but I would respectfully suggest it is much better than the first reviewer believes.
