Product Description

Review

"August Nimtz presents a challenging and controversial thesis: Vladimir Ilyich Lenin made elections-of all things-central to his revolutionary strategy in Russia. No less distinctive is his well-documented contention that Lenin's thought was fundamentally democratic, deeply rooted in the theoretical and practical-political contributions of Karl Marx and Frederick Engels. A vibrant contribution to the swirl of scholarly and political debate, Nimtz's impressive work will generate new insights in history and present-day realities."-Paul Le Blanc, Professor of History, La Roche College, USA and author of Lenin and the Revolutionary Party

Outstanding and eye-opening must-read 6 Sep 2014
By stephen eckardt - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover
Forget the price, it is worth every cent: the only (and deeply serious / exquisitely-documented) book-length examination of Lenin's electoral strategy. Unbeknownst to most, nearly 40% of Lenin's writings dealt with revolutionary electoral politics, something totally blacked out by erstwhile "Communists" sucking up to capitalist politicians / lesser evilism ... and the less significant "infantile ultra-lestists" who abjure elections entirely.

Thinking rebels and conscious workers from Tunisia to Egypt, Ukraine, and of course and especially in the United States and other key metropolitan/imperialist centers should and must read this book and its companion volume.

Outstanding and eye-opening.

If you are serious about changing the world, you must read these books – and invite their author (animtz@umn.edu) to come speak at whatever venue you can organize.
