I actually bought this from Comet where, unusually, it was 30% less than Amazon. I am using the unit in my kitchen where it sits on the solid tile floor where I mainly use it for listening to the radio and iTunes on the computer through the "aux in" connection.
So first the good points...
Set up was very straightforward and I didn't need to refer to the instructions included - which though intelligible are obviously composed by a non native English speaker!
My iPhone 3GS fits straight into the dock on the top and works seamlessly
The unit looks classy
The controls are intuitive
But less good..,
There's way too much bass when listened to at low to mid range volumes. Even with the bass control turned down to its lowest setting (minus 4) it totally dominates the sound. Removing the plastic base stand helps a bit but not much. Once you turn the volume up to "party" volume (say above half volume) then the sound equalizes out a bit and becomes better to listen to. And it is loud!
The controls themselves feel a bit cheap and plastic. No problem really since the whole thing was less than £100 but there it is.
So if you are looking for a decent looking speaker with iPod dock, a small footprint,a fair price and you like a lot of bass then this could be for you.

Amazon Verified Purchase
Product arrived on time (we live in spain) and things were looking good. It was a birthday present for my husband and as it was what he asked for he was very happy! Product worked for a few days and then started to make god awful sounds. No company here in Spain to fix it and have to return to uk at great expense. Trouble with sending electrical things abroad I suppose was the feedback we got! Looking for a full refund! Ah well! Lesson learned!
