The Linomatic 400 deluxe offers the next generation of rotary clothes line design: easy-pull cord opening; press button to close, and clean, dry tangle-free lines thanks to the Leifheit line retraction mechanism.
Opening the rotary is made as easy as possible with the easy lift mechanism. Simply pull the red toggle on the end of the lifting line and walk backwards. The arms open and the lines extend. When fully up and tensioned the arms automatically lock in this position. Letting go of the lifting line allows it to retract tidily into the central pole. This keeps it out of the way: no one can trip over it, and if mowing adjacent to the rotary, the pull cord line will not become caught in the mower.
Closing the arms is also simple. The release button is on an arm at eye level, so no bending and ducking under the arms to reach some release on the centre pole. The arm release requires just a gentle finger press. As the arms lower on their own the lines gently retract keeping them clean and tidy for future use. Unlike conventional rotaries, there is no need to wipe the lines to ensure no line marks on the laundry.
The Linomatic features extra long arms to help spread the washing. On each carrying arm are two hooks to dry eight shirts and blouses on coat hangers, free from folds. The tough, 40 m long lines can take up to 6 loads of washing. The maximum outer line length is 1.86 m. Even large laundry, like bed linen and tablecloths has sufficient space.
The Linomatic is made in Germany and carries a 3 year guarantee. All used materials are weatherproof and UV-resistant. A ground socket is supplied with the Linomatic which requires concreting in to the garden. Alternatively, an optional, easy-to-use, screw-in socket may be purchased from Amazon ASIN: B000NZH3WU.
Strong all-aluminium construction is used on the Linomatic Deluxe. The key benefit is no danger of rust spots on clothes. Galvanised or painted rotaries will eventually become scratched and will rust in places. Rust marks on clothes are notoriously difficult to shift. Aluminium construction also makes the Linomatic DL much lighter for carrying in and out of storage.
Excellent rotary clothes line delivered very quickly and was just as described even included a ground spike. Good design only used short time to date but good so farPublished 20 months ago by ait
This is a great way of being able dry lots of washing but it folds up out of the way so you don't loose outside space. Read morePublished on 18 July 2012 by Tarkytarks
I think this is a great idea, we have always used rotary lines and covers to keep the line clean, but they are flimsy, expensive and only seem to last about 12 month. Read morePublished on 16 July 2012 by Nick Flynn
