I picked this bundle up for £5.00 + p&p.
For 2 brand new, high quality games that is superb value for money.
Pure is a fun and frenetic racing game, it is so easy to slip into and is a very satisfying example of the genre, you can pick up and play it like an arcade game and it lends itself to groups of mates trying to outdo each other very well. You can also get nerdy and start intricate tinkering in the garage to perfect your dream ATB. I am not a huge fan of racers and find that they often take themselves far too seriously and forget to be fun, this game seems to get the balance just about right, I haven't enjoyed a racer so much since Star Wars Pod Racer on the N64.
Lego Batman does pretty much what it says on the tin. You get to be a Lego version of Batman, what's not to like about that? The Lego theme games are popular in my house, we also have Star Wars and Harry Potter and the Batman game sits nicely with these other fine titles.
It's a fun mix of action, puzzles and platforming that is great for kids and also for people in their mid 30's. It's always good to watch the funny set pieces with Batman, Robin and assorted vilains doing their thing through the medium of virtual plastic toy bricks.
The only downside I can think of is that Pure is looking a little dated now, it will be 3 this year (2011) which in game terms is ancient but it still stands up well against other racers, and anyway, it only cost me a fiver for both games so I can't really moan about that.
Just buy it, it's fun. At pocketmoney prices!
