About the Author

Charles Yallowitz was born and raised on Long Island, NY, but he has spent most of his life wandering his own imagination in a blissful haze. Occasionally, he would return from this world for the necessities such as food, showers, and Saturday morning cartoons. One day he returned from his imagination and decided he would share his stories with the world. After his wife decided that she was tired of hearing the same stories repeatedly, she convinced him that it would make more sense to follow his dream of being a fantasy author. So, locked within the house under orders to shut up and get to work, Charles brings you Legends of Windemere. He looks forward to sharing all of his stories with you and his wife is happy he finally has someone else to play with.

With Beginning of a Hero Yallowitz dipped his toe in the ruffled waters of fantasy. With Prodigy of Rainbow Tower he has dived in head first and come up swimming strongly.

This second book in the Windemere series is richer, deeper, darker... and funnier. The world develops in detail and scope, the characters, already vivid and alive, take on a greater breadth and complexity... and the plot, of course, thickens, leaving a third book eagerly awaited.

It is somewhat unusual to find such strongly drawn female characters in a male-led fantasy. They are not simply warrior women in bikinis, nor soft, helpless maidens, but deep and complicated participants in the web of relationships and adventures.

You are likely to laugh, you may shed a tear... but you will be drawn in.

Highly recommended.

This is a very good first book where a world is created that drags you in. It is quite a talent when a writer can drag you into their world and leave you wanting more.

I have gone onto the third novel as I have bought the second when I finished the first and the third when I finished the second.

If you want to recapture the thrill of the original fantasy tale please buy all the books in this series and read them back to back - a wonderful refreshing new author - thank you Charles E Yallowitz

Another nice long and intricate story with some unexpected plot twists, laying a great foundation for #3. A great sequel. (It has far fewer spelling/grammatical errors than Vol' 1, 'though it too would benefit from basic proof-reading/editing).
