i was very dissapointed with this dvd..after eagerly awaiting for it to arrive the album has reasonable footage but the kessler tracks are ruined by noise. this sounds like something to do with the making of the dvd..as you can hear talking over the tracks..other than that the artist`s are great players...

Watching this DVD elicited mixed emotions. I experienced sheer joy and excitement at the improvisational, melodic power of all the featured artistes but also great sadness that almost all of them are now dead.

Barney Kessel and Joe Pass in particular impress as always but it is Wes Montgomery's performances that most obviously scream 'genius'. Could the guy look more relaxed whilst producing such incredible lines? All that and he couldn't even read music! A must for any jazz fan and especially guitarists.
